Game Rules and Q&A's for US Korean Tennis Open

 

1.  What are the tournament game rules?

• For full details in both English and Korean, please click on the document attached below.

2.  Can I play two divisions?

• You can only play one singles division and one doubles division, but not two singles divisions or two doubles divisions.

3.  What is the level of players for each division?

• There is no clear standard for each division but here are some guidelines:

• Open Division: Current or former high school and college players, or USTA 4.5 and higher;
• Level A Doubles: USTA 4.0 & over; advanced players of all ages;
• Level B Doubles: USTA 3.5; students 16 & over and intermediate adults;
• Level C Doubles: USTA 3.0; students 15 & under and beginner adults.

4.  At which venues will each division be played?

• Men Singles and Women Singles (preliminary rounds) will be played at the Fort Lee Racquet Club;
• All Junior Singles and Doubles divisions will be played at the Binghamton Racquet Club;
• The finals of all singles divisions will be played at Binghamton Racquet Club no earlier than 3:30 pm.

5.  What time will each division start? 

• Please check “Registered Players” posting on our website for specific start times one day before 8/14/10 tournament date;
• Please arrive at least
30 minutes prior to the start time.

6.  How about food? 

• Each paid player will be issued a meal ticket for either lunch or dinner;
• Bagel and fruit will be served during morning hours;
• Meals will be available for sale to non-players and spectators;
• There are restaurants within 5 minutes of walking or driving distance. 

7.  What if I want to cancel my registration and want a refund?

• If you cancel via email to info@njktennis.org by 8/11/10, a full refund will be provided;
• If you need to cancel, please let us know in advance so someone who might be wait-listed could take your spot.

8.  What if the division is closed?

• You may be wait-listed; if entry fee has been sent but there is no available spot, we will issue a full refund.
